Frozen Games and Activities
For me this was the best part of the whole party, probably because my kids are young and the games and activities is what they like the most. Since it was summer weather, doing any kind of snow games was out of the question. We improvised!
The first game I called “Catch the Snowflakes”. In lieu of snowflakes however, we used a bubble machine. This was one of the kids favorite games. The object was to catch as many snowflakes as they could. It was pretty much chaos, which was good in the end as I needed the kids to sit still for the snowman building activity up next.
The next activity “Do you want to build a Snowman?” was exactly as it sounds. I should have built them ahead of time so I knew what to expect for the kids, but oh well! They had fun and that was what was important. Using toothpicks the kids put together the snowman pieces (marshmallows of different sizes). The toothpicks needed to be cut in half as they were too long. We used chocolate chips for eyes to start, then as they started melting, we opted for gel icing to just draw on the eyes. It was much better looking! Chocolate chips were also used as buttons and straight pretzels were used for the arms.
The third and last game before presents and cake was “Pin the Crown on Elsa”. I made this game myself as all I could find was Pin the Nose on Olaf. It was a super hit, I think the kids played about 3 rounds! It follows the same rules as Pin the Tail on the Donkey. Blindfolded kids try to tape a crown onto the right spot on Elsa’s head. You can find this game on my etsy shop too, it comes as a digital download ready to print and play.
I sadly didn’t take any pictures of the kids playing the game as I was busy blindfolding all of them. They all loved it though, I think it was the best game… well maybe it was a tie between Pin the Crown on Elsa and Catch the Snowflakes…
All that matters was that in the end, I had one happy birthday girl! 🙂 (For those interested I made her shirt too! With my own design and using an iron on applique)
